Lady Carpathia, called Thia by only a select few, is one of the most powerful and ancient vampires in existence. She is the founder of the order of assassins/vampire enforcers known as the Daughters of the Dragon. She was dispatched to hunt down and destroy Viktor Brandewyne by her master/maker. An encounter with the mermaid-turned-vampire Alyssa, mother of Viktor’s half-mer son Robert, leads Carpathia to believe she can use Viktor in a scheme to overthrow her master and take his place. She still intends to carry out her original mission once her own ends are accomplished after realizing just how dangerous and powerful Viktor is.
Carpathia makes her first appearance as an unnamed character in chapter 5 of Blood Curse, book 1 in the Waves of Darkness series.
